Lake Monticello Rescue Squad | Sunday, September 1st | Fellowship Hall
Lake Monticello Rescue Squad needs your help! They are actively recruiting for Emergency Vehicle Operators (Drivers) and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). No experience needed – all training will be provided at no cost to you. Lake Monticello Volunteer Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization and relies on community members to step up to assist their neighbors. Their volunteers come from all walks of life – teachers, office workers, retirees, stay at home parents, folks between jobs, plumbers, electricians and more! While volunteers are needed for all shifts, there is an urgent need for volunteers that can run weekday shifts. Prison Fellowship | Sunday, September 8th | After Both Services | Fellowship Hall
Monica Erikson of Prison Fellowship will be joining us to discuss the need for volunteers at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women. Prison Fellowship seeks to restore those affected by crime and incarceration by introducing prisoners, victims, and their families to a new hope available through Jesus Christ. They accomplish this by training and inspiring churches and communities – inside and outside of prison – to support the restoration of those affected by incarceration. Monica will be available in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, September 8th to answer questions.

This is a study of the truth of God’s Word and the Christian world view, The course reveals how God’s character is reflected in His creations from man, to the family, the church and every aspect of society. You have certainly noticed that our driveway is in need of a big upgrade. CCF will begin a paving project that will improve our driveway to the same excellent standard as our parking lot. We have set up a special fund for this project which currently has about 29% of the total amount needed. We are asking you to pray and seek the Lord about making an additional contribution over your regular tithes and offering to help us reach our goal of $72,800. If God so leads, you can place a check in one of the offering boxes with “driveway”in the memo line. Questions?
